In the historic New Yorker Hotel where Nikola Tesla lived, “TOWER TO THE PEOPLE-Tesla’s Dream at Wardenclyffe Continues” premiered Saturday night in the Grand Ballroom, where the genius inventor held his annual birthday press conferences. The feature documentary by Joseph Sikorski was attended by special guests and dignitaries, including the last relative of Nikola Tesla- great grandnephew William Terbo, Director Jim Jarmusch, artist Robert Wilson,the Consulate General of the Republic or Serbia Mirjana Zivkovic ,among other distinguished guests. The event featured a piano performance by Emmy-nominated Pianist/Composer Marina Arsenijevic, who received a standing ovations and is featured on the film’s soundtrack. The film presented new information about Tesla’s Wardenclyffe project for the historic record thanks to the support of the Tesla Museum in Belgrade. The night ended with the unveiling of a ten-foot high Wardenclyffe Tower model, which will be used for the filmmaker’s next project “FRAGMENTS FROM OLYMPUS-The Vision of Nikola Tesla”, a feature film about the Serbian innovator.
